About This Spot
An elevated view of the Big Waterfall (Veliki slap) and the Sastavci Falls. Since it is the classic viewpoint that everyone visits in Plitvice, it is also the most photographed.

What To Shoot
From this spot you can continue down towards Veliki Slap or stay on this elevated side of the canyon and head to Rocky Cliff viewpoint and Cave Šupljara (See both spots for more details).

It is difficult to photograph sunrise/sunset here as you will need to blend exposures. The easiest thing to do is to zoom in and cut out the sky. Sun falls on the canyon relatively late and it is tricky to photograph when half of the canyon is sunlit and the other half in shade. Use a polarising filter and tripod.

Best time is either early in the morning or for sunset (if there are interesting clouds above). In spring and autumn there are often mists in the morning.
